What Technology Is Used To Print On Clothes?

Our standard process is the Direct to Garment (DTG) method of printing. This is the equivalent to digital printing for paper and it's ideal for printing on-demand on cotton.

That means:

  • We can create photo-quality prints with the maximum detail in design

  • You have extensive colour options and the amount of colours doesn't affect pricing

  • There are no order minimums so it's suitable for small batches

  • You can print on cotton

  • It's more eco-friendly than other methods (water-based ink, less waste)

Note: We currently do not offer embroidery, sublimation and screen printing.

Smell, discoloration, and marks

When unpacking a new shirt or hoodie with a direct-to-garment (DTG) print, you might notice a vinegar-like smell or an off-white or slightly brown residue. Don't worry, that's not unusual - it's from a fixation agent, which supports the chemistry of the ink to form strong bonds with the fabric, applied during the printing process and it's not permanent.

A fixation agent (sometimes known as pre-treatment) is used for all DTG prints across the industry. It helps the ink bond with the fabric, and without it, the ink would flake off the garment.

The solution is simply to wash the garment! Neither the residue nor the smell is permanent and both should go away after one wash. It is recommended to wash DTG printed garments inside out at 30ºC or cooler.

Are your T-shirts monochromatic or multi-colored?

We only offer monochromatic T-shirts, meaning each T-shirt is a single color. However, we have a variety of T-shirt styles available, and our product catalog includes T-shirts in different colors. You can choose your preferred color from the options provided when selecting a T-shirt.

I am being charge for printing cost but I did not add a design

Please check if there is an image/text holder that was added previously and not removed. It will be detected as part of the design in our system despite being blank.

We are working on fixing this and we appreciate your patience as we resolve this as soon as we can.
