File Upload Limit
Optimalprint supports file uploads up to 30 MB and 10,000 pixels (width x height). Files larger than this will not upload.
To check photo size:
On Desktop: Right-click the file > "Properties" > "Image Dimensions."
On Phone: Open "Image Info" or "Photo Info."
Tip: Ensure your images meet these limits for a seamless upload experience.
Can I Order Custom-Size Prints?
We currently offer only standard print sizes listed in our catalog. Custom sizes are unavailable.
Where Are My Uploaded Photos?
Photos not used for a digital photo book are deleted when you exit the editor. Please re-upload them as needed.
Adding Special Characters
To add special characters:
Type your text with accents in a text editor.
Copy and paste it into our editor.
Preview to ensure all characters display correctly.
Note: Unsupported characters may print as rectangles. Consider changing the font if needed.
Can I Recover Deleted Photos?
Once deleted, images cannot be recovered.
Can I Change Paper Options After Ordering?
Once an order is placed, changing the paper type isn’t possible. However, you may cancel your order within 30 minutes for a refund, then reorder with a new paper choice.
Editing Saved Drafts
Go to "Your drafts" in your account.
Select and edit your saved design.
Note: Changes to drafts won't update similar items in your cart. To edit items in your cart, go to the cart and select "Edit."
Uploading Images
To upload an image:
Select a product and click "Personalise."
Choose "Photos" on the left.
Click "Choose file" to upload from your device or social media.
Will a Blurry Photo Print Well?
For optimal quality, upload images with at least 300 dpi. Zoom in 3x on your image to check clarity before uploading.
Order Confirmation
Check your email or your Optimalprint account’s “My Orders” section to confirm your order. If the status is "payment interrupted," the order didn’t go through, and you were not charged.
Enlarging and Printing Older Photos
We do not offer enlargement services. You may upload your digital photos, and our system will flag any that don’t meet quality standards for printing.
Speeding Up Photo Uploads
Photo upload speed depends on your internet connection. For faster uploads, connect to Wi-Fi. If a photo fails to upload or looks blurry, try replacing it with a higher-quality version.
Uploading Images on a Mac
To upload from the "Photos" software:
Select the photos in "Photos" and drag them to a Finder window.
Upload them from Finder to your Optimalprint product.
Cropping Photos
Our editor does not offer cropping because cropping may reduce image quality. For best results, upload photos that are already cropped as desired.
Photo Quality Checks
Optimalprint does not pre-check photo quality before printing. Ensure your photos meet quality standards before placing an order.
Verifying Photo Quality
For best results:
Use high-resolution, original images (300 dpi or higher).
Avoid compressed images from messaging apps (e.g., WhatsApp).
Ensure good lighting and avoid motion blur.
Supported formats: .jpg, .png
