To ensure the best result we recommend that your photos have 300 DPI for the size of the print. Photos with a range of 150-300 DPI will most often print with good quality, while photos with less than 150 DPI will be bad quality prints. Always ensure that you select the highest resolution versions of a photo you have.
Note that apps like Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, iMessage, Instagram, and Facebook all compress your photos so the photo might like good on your screen but it will not always print well.
If it is a friend who has sent you the photo please ask the friend to send you the file via email, Google Photos or Dropbox as those services don't compress the files.
Make sure that all the subjects are well-lit in your photo. Natural light is the best option but otherwise, secure that the brightness of the image is high. Watch for movement in the photo, especially with babies, since motion captured in a photo will appear as a blur which is not always detectable in resolution.
