Can I add more pages to a card?

It is not possible to add extra pages to the card. However, if you have chosen a flat layout (2 pages), you can often get the same layout in folded format (4 pages) by going back to the page with the layouts and selecting a different format.

If you are looking for blank pages inside the card, please note that the card will print as you see it in the layout editor and the preview in the shopping cart. If you see a blank page, the page will remain blank when printed. If there is a pattern or background, this will print and cannot be removed.


Can I add multiple photos to a card design?

Yes, you can add multiple photos to your cards. You can do this by adding a new image box to the card where you can add a photo.


Can I edit the 4 sides of a folded card?

Yes, you can add text and images on the 4 sides of a folded card from a PC or Laptop.

Can I erase the back of the postcard?

The address line and stamp box are part of the template and cannot be removed. If you need to back of the card to be blank, please choose another design.


Can I leave the back of my cards blank?

Please check in the design editor and in the shopping basket if the backside is blank or if there is a pattern.

  • If there is a pattern, it cannot be removed.

  • If there is a full-page image frame that you do not fill with a photo, the background will print – as visible in the shopping basket preview.

  • If you choose glossy coating (on our silk card stock), this is applied only to the front side in the case of flat cards, and the front+back in the case of folded cards.

Note: Please check to see if there is a sample text on your cards. If it is, either edit it with your own text or delete it if you want a blank page, otherwise the sample text might be printed by mistake.


Can I order blank place cards?

Yes, you can add blank place cards. If you wish to order all place cards blank, you can follow these steps: Blank Place Cards


Can I order cards only without envelopes?

On the Old/Legacy website, cards are offered without envelopes by default, and you have the option to add envelopes during checkout.

However, on the New website, all card orders currently include envelopes, as the price covers both the cards and envelopes together.


Can I order cards with rounded corners?

For some of the cards, we offer two types of trim: sharp and rounded. For now, trim is available for flat A5 and A6 cards. Other formats do not support trim options.


Can I order sample cards/Do you provide sample cards?

Due to the latest transition from the Old website to the New, sample cards are not available as of the moment. Updates will be posted once it is available.


Can I print on the back of an attendance confirmation card?

The back of the attendance confirmation cards is white. We can't print on this side, but you can write something by hand if you want.


Can I print on the reverse side of an RSVP card?

The RSVP cards' reverse side is blank (white). We will not be able to print on this side, however, you can write by hand if you wish.


Can I print/edit the back of the place cards?

It is not possible to edit the back of a place card.


Can I remove the images on the inside of a card?

You can customize the cards and add or remove pictures.

In many of our designs, you will see images added as a sample. If you don't remove it, the page will be blank. The sample image will not be printed.

Can I submit a foreign language text?

We only support Latin alphabets/characters at the moment. However, if you like to include other foreign characters (like Chinese, Japanese, etc), it is possible to include them in the card as an image of at least 300 dpi resolution.


Can I upload my own design?

Uploading your own, custom design is possible. You can upload your own design using the ‘Upload Your Design’ templates visible on each category and then use the ‘add image’ button. The supported file formats include JPEG and PDF (one file per page). The actual size of the cards is provided when you pick a size and format (below the ‘Upload Your Design’ thumbnail). There is no vertical option for this, however, you may rotate your image and text according to your liking.

Customization is completely free and does not cost extra. You can upload photos (as many as you want), type your own text and change the styles, sizes, and colors of fonts within text boxes.

However, please note that we are a self-service platform and will not be able to review the order before it is printed. Please view the preview on the checkout page and place the order once you are fully satisfied.


For new websites:

Creating your own card template is currently unavailable. However, we offer a similar template with text only on the back, which you can use as a blank template by removing the text.

Can I write on the cards?

If you would like to write on your cards, please select matt cardstock. It is possible to write on silk cardstock but not on the areas where glossy coating is applied (should you choose that option). Glossy coating is only applied to the front page of a flat format or to the outer pages of folded products (front and back). This means that you can write on the inner pages of a coated, folded product.


Can the back of the card be left blank?

Check the design editor and the shopping cart to see if the back is blank or if there is a pattern. If there is a pattern, it cannot be removed. Please note that if there is a full-page picture frame that is not filled with a photo, the background will print blank as seen in the shopping cart preview.

Also, please note that if you choose a glossy layer, this applies only on the front side for flat cards, and on the front + backside for folded cards, so you can always write on the back (flat cards) or inside (folded cards).


Can you change a design for me?

Our designs are created by graphic design professionals and are a single image file to which we can’t change individual parts. We are a self-service platform and you are able to customize many things within the template: you can upload photos, type your own text, and change the styles, sizes and colors of fonts within text boxes.

If there are different color options available, you will see these on the website at the moment you choose between designs (the colored boxes next to it). Besides these, we do not make custom adjustments to designs - please choose a different design in this case. Note that we have a "Create Your Own" option when you choose between designs, where you can start with an empty template and add text or image boxes as you wish.


Do you offer a blank template for cards?

Yes, you can design your own card and then upload it to our blank templates available in all formats and sizes. Find the blank templates here.

Note: This is currently not available on the USA, AU, and New Zealand websites.


Do you offer place cards?

We offer flat and folded place card. We have a variety of designs to choose from. You can easily place an order from the Optimalprint app or from the Web.

How can I change the card size?

We cannot transfer your edited design (your photos and/or text) to another size or format of the same design. In this case, you need to choose the format/size that you would like to receive and create the cards again.

You will find the formats available for a particular design listed when you choose a design (on pc/laptop, under the thumbnail; on mobile/tablet when you tap on a design, then swipe left/right)

Also, note that if you have already placed an order with the wrong size, you can cancel the order 30 minutes after placing and the money will be automatically refunded. To do this, go to My Account > Your Orders.


How many cards can I order?

We provide cards by 10s and you can now input how many cards you wish to order by selecting the quantity into 1 for 10 pieces and 2 for 20 pieces before you can head over to the editor to design them.

If you wish to order more than 300 cards of the same design, all you have to do is to click on the "plus" button and set the quantity into 30.


What does the card "flat no inside" mean?

We offer two card formats: folded or flat. Flat no inside means that the card has no crease to fold.


What is the grey frame around the card?

The grey frame on the screen is a "bleed area" of about 4 mm, where we cut the cards in the production process.

Trim: the final size of the printed products is referred to as the trim size.

Bleed: this is the area outside of the trim line that will get cut off. Even though it ultimately gets removed it’s still important for the production of your product.

If you have a photo which goes up to the edge of the card, this "bleed" should be covered by your photo. This prevents a white line appearing between the photo and card edge, as we cannot predict exactly where the cut in this 4 mm area will be (it's a mechanical process).

Be careful not to include any text in this area as it is likely to be cut off.


What is your method of printing?

At Optimalprint we use only professional digital printing presses - HP Indog and Xerox iGen. The paper that we use is an eco-friendliness certified paper.


Where can I save my card design?

The changes you will be making will be automatically saved in the system and you if you accidentally clicked "Back or "Exit" there will be a pop up window that will ask whether you wish to keep the design or discard


Why did I receive extra cards with my order?

We sometimes include extra cards in orders, which might make it seem like something is missing or you've received more than expected. This typically occurs with sample orders, as we print in batches of 10 cards. These extra cards are complimentary and can be used as backups or keepsakes. You'll only be charged for the quantity you selected before checkout. While we aim to limit this for environmental reasons, we can't guarantee extra items with every order. Also, orders with extra cards won't include additional envelopes.


Will the Optimalprint logo be printed on my cards?

The logo represents our commitment to ensuring full satisfaction on every order placed with Optimalprint and it may be printed on the backside of your folded card depending on the card category and design.

You will be able to see the logo on the fourth page of your card while editing and previewing your design. If it does not appear on the fourth page, no logo will be printed. While we understand you prefer a logo-free card, unfortunately removing the logo is not possible.


Can I change the size of the cards I created?

You can still edit the size of the card even if it is already in your basket by simply clicking the "Edit" button


How to delete the sample image/photo in the card.

To delete the sample image in the card, note that the grayed-out sample image is part of the template. If you don't want to add an image, you can leave the image box empty and proceed to add the card to your basket. When you check the preview in your basket, the page with the sample image will appear empty. No further action is needed, as the sample image will not appear in the final product.


Can I add my QR code to the cards?

It is possible to add a QR code to your design. All you need to do is add an "image box", reposition it and upload your QR code. It's important to note that the image of your QR code must be sharp or not blurry so that it will work once it is printed.


Is there any way to include addresses on the envelopes?

You can't customize envelopes with specific designs or text. You can only choose between standard or premium types.


Can I order cards that each have a different design?

If you are looking for place cards, you can easily order cards with different names on each one. For other types of cards, you can order a set of 10 cards, all with the same design. This means that if you want to order 10 wedding cards, it is not possible to customize each card individually at this time. We are continually improving our products and hope to offer more customization options in the future. Thank you for your understanding!


When I arrange the names for one place card the positioning of another place card moves.

If you make changes to one element on the place cards, the changes will apply to all names on the place cards.

To work around this, you can separate long names or names that require two lines onto different place cards. This means you will have two sets of place cards in your basket: one set for place cards with short or single-line names, and another set for place cards with long or two-line names.


Can I add another text on the place cards not just names?

In our place cards, there is only one text box available. This means you can only add text within that single text box. Because of this, it is not possible to add additional text to other parts of the card besides where the text box is located. However, you can still change the location of the text box to suit your design needs.
